We were warmly greeted by our guide Oakie and driver at the dock. We traveled about 1.5 hours to Pattaya.
Our first stop was Nongnooch Village. The drive up to the gates of the privately owned compound was lined with breathtaking flowers, statues and Bonsai Trees. There is an exhibitiuoin center, international convention center, entertainment venues, shopping, dining, gardens, Dinosaur Valley, Stone Forest Garden.
First we attended the Cultural Show presented by dancers, singers, percussionists, and simulated fighting elephants.
Next was the elepant show. They seemed well cared for and treated gently by their handlers. When given money or bananas they shook their booties and stamped their feet. Absolutely adorable that these tremendous creature have so much personality. They played basketball, bowled, soccer, and darts.
A tram was provided for us to view the magnificant gardens. Hundreds of rows of perfect blooming species with adorable statues everywhere you looked.
TIme to eat again!! There was a buffect with every Thai food you can imagine. Everything was delicious.
Pattaya Floating Market was out next stop. We gracefully boarded a shallow boat and floated down the canal lined with floating food vendors. Booths lined the pier with dining, souviner, fish pedicure, insects, clothes, smoothies.
Next was Gems Gallery the World's Largest Jewelry Store. Not as great as D Geller & Son!!
Shopping was next. Terminal 21 a multi-level mall filled with everything you ever wanted and more.
Back to the ship in time for dinner and a cocktail!!
Another amazing day!!
