We had a little trouble finding our guide but it was worth it! Eau was awesome. We climbed into his rugged jeep to ascend up the mountain.. First we headed to Hin Ta & Hin Yai rock formations that look like genitals. The rocks names are for their distinctive shapes thus Grandmother & Grandfather.
Next was the gorgeous Na Muang Waterfalls and the Khunaram Temple. Our guide provided shawls for us to wear in the temple, no shoes are allowed. Statues lined a courtyard. I will have to do my homework on Buddhism.
The jeep bounced through the jungle, up the mountain until we came to the Bluest Mountain Restaurant. The table was filled with bowls of curry, rice, vegetables and fried deliciousness. If you can identify any of the dishes I will take out out for Thai food to taste it. We picked the plates clean.
Claudia Bock Claudia and Frank Bock climbed up to the top of the jeep for a birds eye view. They had a blast but made me a nervous wreck.
Have you ever seen a Happy Tree? The sap is rubber used to make tires, chewing gum and condoms, thus call the Happy Tree.
Phra Yai temple was the last stop. The 39 foot Buddah in the center of the Temple is surrounded by statues of the Chinese year cycle.
Back on the ship for a Mijito, nap and shower. As always the food was delicious on Celebrity Solstice. No nightlife for us we were all exhausted.
