Day 2 Singapore
Leisurely morning having breakfast at the VOCO Orchard Singapore.
Nodles, nodles & more noodles. Indian food, Congee (porridge), fruit, cheeses, meat, American breakfast with freshly cooked eggs. So many delicious options. We tasted lots of new things.
Boarded the Hop On Hop Off Bus. The rain started about 6 stops after we got on the open air bus. Looked at the route map and realized that we were at the Raffles Hotel. Hopped off to experience the Long Bar, the home of the original Singapore Sling. After a wait in the que we climbed a curved staircase to the bar.
The atmosphere was incredible with the feel of a tropical plantation. Burlap bags of peanuts on the table were the only food offering. This is definitely the most expensive and delicious Singapore Sling that I every drank.
The rain let up and we took a Grab (Uber) to the Marina Bay Sands for the Sunset at the Observation Deck. Again we planned a sunset excursion that ended up being rained out.
The views were stunning and we didn't melt.
Walked to the Marina Bay Mall, a mall that features all the couture brands that I can't pronounce correctly. Window shopping was fun and someone is bringing home a Pandora panda charm.
Dinner at the Hawker stalls was an adventure. Everyone love their dinner.
Another Grab to the hotel, wine & ice cream.
Good night
