Day 12 Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge
Started our day rocking and rolling through rough seas. There was a 1 hour delay in docking and the crew did an amazing job of navighting the seas and getting us off the ship in record time.
Van our guide for today was waiting for us in the pouring rain. We hopped into the van and stripped off our soaked raincoats for the 1 hour drive to Ba Na Hills. The coutryside was lush with many abandoned shacks. We passed through 2 fishing villages, a river and a lagoon.
We travel throug a 6km tunnel through the Marble Mountain, When we exited the tunnel the Chau Mountain was in the distance. We arrived at a huge modern plaza with dining and restrooms crossed under the beautiful arch leading to the cable car station. We ascended 1,487 meters up the side of the mountain into the clouds. Once on top it was freezing cold and pouring. Still we insisted on walking across the Golden Bridge and visited the Garden of Senses. We did opt out of the La Jaedin D'Amour Gardens and the Debay Wine Celler because of the weather.
Next we climbed on a vernacular that took us to The Castle, a multi level entertainment venue. We ate lunch there at an incredible buffet. The Pho was so spicey that we couldn't eat it. Check out Rita's food dump to see all the goodies.
The Floating Eye Theatre transcended us across the world in a roller coaster type car. It was amazing!!!
The party poopers were ready to leave the mountain and warm up. Our van was waiting for us.
Shopping along the way back to the ship in the 2 villages was so much fun.
Back onboard, we are ready to dry off, warm up and go to tonight's production show "Broken Strings" scrumptious dinner and a night cap.
We were rocked to sleep by the waves.
